Students will write 5-7 complete sentences about their vacation this summer. The following questions should be answered in their writing:

all about me
Students will download the All About Me template under the image below and fill in the text boxes. Once all text boxes are completed, each student will take a picture of themselves and insert it into the document.

Favorite ice cream flavor
Students use the tally total results to create a 3D column cone chart. Students should format the chart title with a font color, style and larger size. Students should use additional formatting to change the colors of each column on the chart. Once all formatting has been completed, students will insert an image of their choice into their spreadsheet.
Back to School supplies
Students will choose 10 items from the school supplies list and enter both the name and prices of their items into a spreadsheet.
Clothes budget chart
Each student will pick 5-7 items on the Clothes Shopping Price List below. With Microsoft Excel, each student will make a bar graph chart that will show how much money was spent on each item. Once all the information is put into an excel spreadsheet, students will customize the title of their spreadsheet and insert an image of their choice.
Lunch expenses for two
Students will be buying lunch for themselves and a friend. Each students should choose several items for the Munch Box Menu that will feed two people. Item names and prices should be entered into a spreadsheet then calculated for a total sum.
A movie for two
Students will selected several items from the Mega Movies menu and their selections into a spreadsheet. Work should be checked through the "print preview" option to make sure all work fits in one page.
School sports equipment
Students should select several items from the list, and enter their choices and the prices into their spreadsheet. Students should ensure that the items and item costs are entered into separate, but adjacent columns. For example items should be entered in column A and costs should be in column B.
Campting trip expenses
Students imagine that they are going on a family camping trip. They need to purchase a variety of supplies to make their outdoor experience as safe, comfortable, and fun as possible. Download this supplies list and make it available for students to view. Students should select 8 or more items from the list, and enter their choices and the prices into their spreadsheet.
Party for five: food budget
Students create a budget using a spreadsheet to show how much they have to spend (allowance) , and how much each item costs (expenses). Students use autosum to calculate the total costs. Students create a simple formula to subract total food expenses from the $25.00 allowance to show how much money is left over (money left over).
1) Students must choose at least 2 items from each food category to satisfy their party friends. For example students will choose 2 items from "Hot Foods," 2 items from "Salads," and so on.
2) Students must also choose any 5 drinks from the drink menu.

puppy pet adoption
Students have a budget of $200.00 to adopt a new puppy and a variety of related items for the puppy. Puppies need a place to sleep, bowls for food, toys, a collar and leash, and other items. Students choose all the items they think they need to get started taking care of the new puppy, but they must keep costs under $200.00.

Students will use iPhoto and/or Photo Booth to complete the tasks below. Once students have edited their photos, each person will explain how they edited the photo and insert a picture of themselves into the photo editing template.
